If you are thinking about selling your home without the assistance of a real estate agent or broker, you need to do everything possible to get the word out that the house is on the market. After all, if you were working with a realtor, he or she would list your home with the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), have open houses, and send out postcards or flyers to neighbors, and so on. However, by selling yourself, all of the advertising and marketing falls back on you.

One excellent option is to use a website called HomeToursOnline.net. This virtual open house solution allows people from around the world to see your home, inside and outside through pictures and virtual tours. This advertising and marketing solution is affordable and easy to use. Best of all, it renders exceptional results. If you want to sell, this comprehensive tool helps you show off your home, drawing in buyers.

With this service, you simply register, upload photographs of your home, and the write about the key features. Best of all, HomeToursOnline is free for the first 30 days without any type of catch. You can cancel anytime during that time without being charged a dime. The most important aspect of advertising on this type of website is to make sure you take excellent pictures, both in and outside of the house. Then, brag by writing about all the great features and amenities offered.

Another great way to advertise and market your home is to place a FSBO sign in the front yard with contact information, as well as one on nearby corner streets. You can also post pictures and information about your home in grocery stores, hardware stores, convenience stores, and so on. Of course, you want to make sure you place an ad in your local paper. While adding a photograph would likely be expensive, you can use creativity of words to entice people to look.

Finally, just as a realtor would do, you too can host an open house. In addition to advertising in your local paper, be sure you post signs so people know about the event. Then, he fresh baked cookies or cake to create a homey fragrance, have the house spotless and without any clutter, the yard neatly mowed and landscaping meticulous, and invite people in to view the home. The only advice here is that keep in mind you will be allowing strangers into your home so we suggest you have several family or friends there with you, people who can walk through the home with interested parties for both personal and property protection.
