I am a licensed realtor in New Jersey, and have worked in the residential market with resales, representing both buyers and sellers. Real Estate, investing, buying and selling a home, these are all very important money matters to most people. A home is often a family's largest and most important asset.

What's happening with the market, interest rates, how to find a realtor, how and when to sell on your own, what to do to make your home more marketable, the process of buying your first home - these are all topics that will be covered here.

Ask me your questions, give me ideas for topics you would like to see covered. This is the sector of the marketplace that personally affects each and every one of us. Real estate is a topic that everyone has an interest in these days - I cannot go anywhere without someone asking how the market is, what the house down the street sold for, should they move to a better school district now or wait until the weather warms up. About once a week, someone tells me they want to buy foreclosures. Most of the time, they cannot afford a home and are at risk of foreclosure themselves. Sometimes, they are very savvy investors who come to the rescue of a person in trouble.

Real estate is one field where you meet all kinds of people, encounter all kinds of opportunities, and can participate in a variety of "deals", good and bad. My job in this blog is to guide you toward fair dealing, of the good kind.

A real estate blog, very interesting. Will you cover trends regionally? Seems the Vegas and Phoenix markets have been hot for years...while other markets have been stagnant.

Some markets are hotter than others. Some are insane, and some are undervalued. What I want to do is cover the process of buying and selling, resources, and topics in general. Some regional trends we might touch on.

Vegas and Phoenix attract a lot of interest for many reasons - great places to live, and financially attractive compared to many other areas.

Sounds great Janet, looking forward to it.
